Artists throughout history have looked to the natural world for inspiration, and many found that even the most subtle and delicate things in nature can be captured in precious metals by a skilled artisan.
That’s why I turned our attention to the beauty of trees to create our Woodland Style Pendant in Silver, which uses traditionally honed craft techniques to capture a selection of carefully chosen twigs selected from the wild.
Once I have chosen the model twigs from the wild, each picked for its natural form and grace as well as its suitability as a piece of jewellery, we create moulds from each one so that it can be preserved in silver forever.
I then select high-quality sterling silver to be melted down and poured into each one.
Cast from the moulds, I'm able to replicate these beautiful natural forms down to the texture of the natural wood grain so that each piece is unique and specially created, reflected in the ring shank.
The pendant can then be attached to an 18” chain, the perfect way to display such a unique and beautiful piece.
