One of the most important things for the jewellery that I make in my workshop is that it can be enjoyed by all the senses, and while clearly the visual appeal is one of the biggest factors, I’m also a big believer in the sensation of touch. Many of the most popular lines of jewellery I make have tactile elements to them, from the natural wood grain of my rings captured in silver to the irregular form of the twigs that I often use as inspiration. That’s exactly what I’ve tried to do with these simple Amethyst stud earrings, which feature an interesting texture on their surface which I describe as a ‘goose pimple’ effect, making it as nice to touch as it is to look at.
This is all in service of amplifying the effect of the beautiful Amethyst that sits at the heart of these earrings, which can vary from a light hazy purple to a deep purple fire in the centre depending on your taste. Perfect for daytime or evening wear, these beautiful pieces are sure to draw attention whatever the occasion.
