A tension ring is one of my favourite bands to use because it just gets out of the way and lets the gem take centre stage. It’s a really clever style of setting that places all of the strength of the ring into the setting itself rather than the band, which allows me to have the gem sit above everything where it can get the lightest and the most attention, really showing off all the amazing colours and the beautiful cut.
This ring boasts an African Garnet in its setting, a very popular stone that seems to glow with an inner fire in its dark red centre. The sterling silver band is handmade in my workshop in England, using only the finest ethically sourced silver, while the setting itself features a beautiful gold decoration that really captures the stone’s natural beauty.
